By using JobSentinel (the website, API, browser extension, or CLI tool), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
JobSentinel is a free, open-source tool that analyzes job postings for scam indicators. It provides a risk score and signal breakdown to help you make informed decisions about job opportunities. JobSentinel is not a guarantee — it is a decision-support tool.
You agree to:
When you submit a report (marking a posting as scam or legitimate), you grant JobSentinel a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that report to improve detection accuracy. Reports should be honest and in good faith.
Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Persistent abuse may result in temporary IP blocks.
The JobSentinel software is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software according to that license. These Terms of Service govern the hosted service at jobsentinel.org and api.jobsentinel.org, not the open-source software itself.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobSentinel and its contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:
JobSentinel is a free, community-maintained project. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or response times. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Changes will be committed to the GitHub repository.
